Jason Sheridan: Ford F250 Roll Bar
February 19th, 2014
Yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting Jason Sheridan, a business man from Orlando, Florida, and one of our newest customers. Jason contacted us at the end of January about a sport roll bar for his 2004 Ford F250. A phone conversation and a few emails later and we had set up an order for a Mushroom style double hoop roll bar with a second leg cascade feature. Our craftsmen in the shop went to work and here's the final product:
While the roll bar was being installed, Wade showed Jason around the shop and some of our other products. Jason was particularly impressed by our winch mount and grille guard applications since our designs maintain a fully functioning tow hook on 100% of vehicle applications. Before driving off with his new toy, Jason wrote out a brief statement for our testimonials.
After searching many websites and photos on the internet, I found Sterling Equipment. Next day, I called to get more information and they walked me through the process of ordering a custom roll bar. My order was in production within days and Sterling scheduled a quick installation once it was finished. The quality and professionalism of the employees are next to none. I am very pleased and will be back with future needs.

Law enforcement departments are some of our best customers. We hold tremendous respect for the men and women in this line of work, and are honored to outfit the vehicle fleets for sheriffs' departments, Fish and Wildlife, and State Forest Services among others.
One of the deluxe model guards we have built for the Forest Service.
A few months ago we received an email from the Orlando division of the Florida Forest Service after they had installed their latest order. As we are currently building another winch mount for the Forest Service, we thought it would be a good time to share the statement.
Just wanted to drop you a quick note of appreciation.
My mechanics got the new F-150 guard installed, and it looks fantastic. This is the sixth guard that the Florida Forest Service's Orlando District has purchased from Sterling, and it certainly won't be the last. The fit and finish is top-notch, and the price is great.
We have had one of your guards in service for five years, and another with four years. They are holding up fantastically to true off-road, wildland fire service conditions: the powder coat is durable (not cracking or chipping) and the welds are strong.
You and your folks produce an outstanding product, right here in Central Florida, and you should be proud. Please let your employees know that the folks at the FFS Orlando District think they do great work!

Bob Crews ordered a gator model brush guard from Sterling Equipment in the fall of 2011. Like many of our customers, he frequently drove in areas with a high deer population and was concerned about hitting one and totaling his truck. We beefed up our usual design with some custom features and Bob went on his way, hoping he'd never need to put our guard to the test.
Bob's completed Gator model brush guard on his 2006 Ford F150.
This weekend we received the following email from Bob:
Wade: Just a note to thank you guys for a really great product. When I had your company build my Gator brush guard I asked you to make it strong enough to withstand a 60mph collision with a full grown deer. Up until last Tuesday night I was just hoping that it would hold up and at least keep damage to a minimum. After last Tuesday I can absolutely state that it is strong enough.
I hit a 130lb doe at 62mph square on the front of the truck with no glancing blow. The results; dead deer, absolutely no damage to the truck and no evidence other than hair on the reciever hitch that I had hit anything. This is the best $700.00 I have ever spent. It saved me a lot of time, money, and aggravation. I wasn't stranded on the road, and I don't have a big repair bill. That is really huge for me. When my son hit a deer at the same speed in 2010 it totaled the front end of his truck and it was undrivable without some emergency roadside repairs. I could not believe the sound of the deer hitting my truck and the big jolt of the strike. I was sure there would be some damage at least, but again there was none.
Thank you very much for such a great product and I will always have one of your brush gaurds on my vehicle.
Bob included these photos of his guard shortly after the collision:
We are so glad our guard kept you and your truck safe. Thank you for your letter and in the words of all of our mothers: "Be careful out there!"
